Image Transparency Checker

See which images have transparent areas before you use them in designs or overlays.

Everything runs locally in your browser. Nothing is sent to the server.

Choose one or more PNG, WebP, or other image files.

Up to 50 images · transparency is checked locally

Transparency details

Choose images to begin

Each file will be checked for fully transparent pixels.

JPEG files do not support transparency, so they will always show as opaque.

Images are inspected in your browser and are not uploaded.

What it does

Check logo files, overlays, icons, and exported artwork before placing them in a design. The checker samples the alpha channel and shows the amount of fully transparent pixels for each image.

How to use it

  1. Choose one or more image files.
  2. Check which files contain transparent areas.
  3. Copy the tab-separated table if you need to share the results.

Tips

  • PNG and WebP can contain transparency; JPEG cannot.
  • A transparent result means at least one pixel is fully transparent.
  • The files stay on your device while they are inspected.
