What it does

Add the bleed around a finished print size and see the corresponding pixel dimensions at your chosen resolution. The safe area shows a simple inner margin using the same value.

How to use it

  1. Enter the finished width and height in millimetres.
  2. Set the bleed required by your printer or design workflow.
  3. Use the artwork size in millimetres or pixels when preparing the file.

Tips

  • 3 mm is a common starting point for bleed, but follow your printer's specification.
  • Keep text and important marks inside the suggested safe area.
  • This is a planning aid; always check the final printer template.

FAQ

What is bleed?
